He was born in 1974 in Yugoslavia.
His first real encounter with music was at the age of 8, when he started to learn music and instrument repair with the great teacher Laszlo Lakatos. During that time he participated in and won number of folk music competitions, including the Novi Sad Radio Competition for Children.
At the age of 18 he moved to Israel where he continued his musical education at the Rubin Music Academy of Jerusalem. In the following years he played with different ethnic music groups, one of these was Ilana Eliya, they performed in Israel, Europe and the U.S.A. He was one of the founders of and he played in Balakan Ensemble, a traditional music band with a contemporary sound. He also composed music for two documentary films He took part in composing music for a modern ballet production, Galili Dance, which was first performed in the Netherlands and later all over Europe, Russia and in Brasil.
He taught folk music for two years in the Bar-Ilan University in Tel-Aviv.
He is one of the founders and musicians of Udrub Ensemble, a group of dedicated folk musicians.
